Course Information
Basic Life Support (BLS) training is essential for nurses, healthcare assistants, and all staff who may be required to respond to medical emergencies. This training equips participants with the core skills needed to act quickly and effectively during life‑threatening situations. BLS is mandatory for registered nurses and HCAs, but the knowledge and confidence gained are valuable for anyone working in health or social care.
The course follows the latest Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and includes hands‑on practice in CPR, airway management, and the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). By developing competence in early recognition and intervention, attendees help improve patient safety and potentially save lives.
Please note: Successful completion requires full participation in all practical elements, including rescue breaths, chest compressions, and the recovery position. These activities involve kneeling and working at floor level.
