About the Course
Child Mental Health Awareness Training
This Child Mental Health Awareness training course provides a clear understanding of common mental health conditions affecting children and young people, the factors that influence emotional wellbeing, and practical ways to promote positive mental health across care, education, and community settings. It is designed for healthcare staff, social care professionals, and educators who play a key role in recognising early signs of mental ill‑health and offering timely, compassionate support.
The session explores how to identify emerging concerns, how trusted adults can respond effectively, and how to create environments that nurture resilience, safety, and emotional growth. Delegates will also develop confidence in supporting children in distress, writing safety plans, and understanding the importance of their own wellbeing when working in emotionally demanding roles.
