About the Course
Personal and Oral Hygiene Training
This Personal and Oral Hygiene training course supports health and social care workers, carers, and HCAs to provide safe, dignified, and person‑centred hygiene support for individuals in residential or domiciliary care. The session explores how effective hygiene practices protect health, prevent infection, and promote comfort and wellbeing—particularly for people who may be vulnerable or unable to meet their own care needs.
Participants will develop confidence in delivering personal and oral care sensitively, maintaining dignity and choice, and communicating clearly during intimate care tasks. The course also highlights the importance of assessment, documentation, and individualised care planning to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
