This Sharps Awareness training course provides nurses, HCAs, and other healthcare staff with essential knowledge and practical guidance on the safe handling, use, and disposal of sharps in clinical and care environments. The session explores the risks associated with sharps injuries, the importance of robust infection‑prevention practices, and the correct procedures for reporting and responding to incidents.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of current legislation, blood‑borne virus risks, and safe waste‑management processes.
