Substance Misuse Training
This Substance Misuse training course provides healthcare staff and social care workers with a clear, practical understanding of substance misuse, its impact on individuals and communities, and the role of care professionals in offering safe, compassionate support. The session explores why people misuse substances, how to recognise early indicators, and how to respond in ways that promote safety, dignity, and recovery.
Through interactive workshops and case‑based learning, participants will examine the effects of commonly misused substances, consider the social and personal factors that contribute to misuse, and develop confidence in using appropriate short‑ and long‑term interventions.
