About the Course
Trauma Informed Approach Training
This Trauma Informed Approach training course introduces health and social care staff to the core principles, language, and mindset required to work safely and sensitively with individuals who have experienced trauma. The session explores how trauma can influence behaviour, communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with care, helping staff create environments that feel predictable, respectful, and supportive.
By understanding the impact of trauma, participants can adapt their practice to reduce re‑traumatisation, build trust, and promote a sense of safety and empowerment. The course also encourages reflective practice, enabling staff to consider how their own responses, communication style, and service environment contribute to a trauma‑informed culture.
