Course Information

Stoma care training is essential for nurses, carers, and healthcare staff who support individuals living with a stoma. This course equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to provide safe, dignified, and person‑centred stoma care, helping to maintain comfort, hygiene, and overall wellbeing.

The session explores the reasons why a stoma may be formed, the day‑to‑day considerations for individuals with a colostomy, and the best‑practice approaches that ensure high‑quality care. By the end of the course, attendees will be better prepared to assess stoma sites, identify concerns, and support individuals in managing their stoma confidently and independently where appropriate.
